There is a plethora of beading information on the internet. It can be difficult to find exactly what you are looking for, and even more difficult to find free information and projects. That’s why I’ve decided to post my favorite online resources for all things beading! Many of these sites have links to other ideas and inspiration, so once you get started all you have to do is follow the bread crumb trial. You’ll be beading happy in no time!
5. Fire Mountain Gems
Firemountaingems.com is a great resource for inspiration and free beading patterns. From their home page, scroll down and on the left sidebar you’ll find a menu of galleries and tutorials. I’ve found inspiration here (as well as in their AWESOME catalog) several times.
4. Pinterest
Pinterest is fabulous for all sorts of ideas for all sorts of things. My favorite thing about Pinterest is that it combines all sorts of posts on one page. Just type beading in the search bar and explore! Pinterest.com
3. Etsy.com
Etsy is wonderful for fresh and unique beading patterns and tutorials. Etsy is a company that gathers artisans from around the world in one easy to navigate website. You will not find free anything here, but supporting the worlds artists is worth something. Click here and discover: Etsy.com
2. Beadaholique
I love the projects offered on this site! They are so pretty, and the instructions are wonderfully clear. Their video tutorials are amazing and I’m not ashamed to admit that I have learned a LOT from this site: Beadaholique.com
1. YouTube
My favorite online spot for all things beading is youtube. You can literally find anything you want to know about anything here. When I was just starting out with bead weaving, I would go to YouTube to learn stitches and find easy and free projects. YouTube is also where I learned how to do bead embroidery.
